Living a self-centered life indicates that your profession of faith may not have been real in the first place. Charles Spurgeon said, “If the grace which I profess to have received leaves me exactly the same kind of person as I was before receiving it, it’s not New Testament salvation. The grace which does not drastically alter my behavior will never alter my destiny.”
