A Song For Sunday - Alison Krauss - I'll fly away - (From “O Brother, Where Art Thou” Soundtrack)
I love the soundtrack from "O Brother Where Art Thou". There are some days when the thought of flying away to a home on God's celestial shore sounds very enticing. To finally escape the shadows of this this world, the sorrow and the grief, the pain and the suffering into the bright sunshine of the glory of the kingdom of God, what joy awaits me there. Maybe it's because I'm getting older, as we were having a meal this afternoon, my grand daughter Olivia asked me "how old are you Papa?" I said take a guess. She said 60, I said higher she said 80, I said lower, she said 70 and I said what is one less than 70? Jessica said just count from 60, and she did and came with 69, I said you got it. Then both Leo and Olivia said Papa you're old.
Some bright morning when this life is over
I'll fly away
To that home on God's celestial shore
I'll fly away
I'll fly away, oh glory
I'll fly away in the morning
When I die, Hallelujah by and by
I'll fly away
When the shadows of this life have gone
I'll fly away
Like a bird from these prison walls I'll fly
I'll fly away
