“Black Magic Woman” was written by original Fleetwood Mac founding member and leader Peter Green. It was recorded in 1968 and released in December of the same year on a compilation album titled English Rose. The song became an international hit for Carlos Santana after he recorded and released it on his second studio album Abraxas in 1970.
