Having finished last year a slow (almost three years), deeply enjoyable
walk through volume 3 of Lewis' collected letters (beautifully
published by Cambridge University Press), I found myself in recent days
heading toward bed wishing I had more of his letters to read. So I
ordered volume 2, which covers the years 1931-1949. So, Clive Staples
will once more be making regular appearances around here. Here's a gem I
read a few nights ago--
Christianity is a statement
which, if false, is of no importance, and, if true, of infinite
importance. The one thing it cannot be is moderately important.
